greetings, I’m YAA (she/her).

I am an Accredited BACP Embodied-Relational Integrative Therapist, Facilitator, Space Holder and Founder of Our Naked Truths and the Black Women's Therapy Fund. My invitation is to create a space where you are liberated from trauma, shame and loneliness. Making more room for compassion, courage, communion and healing.

I offer space to hold your experiences related to early life, behaviours, feelings, and the emotions influencing your current actions with compassion and acceptance. A non-judgmental space to explore, grow, and gain clarity as you connect with the world and the energy around you.

My work covers a wide range of experiences, including racism, identity, trauma inc, intergenerational trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD/ADD, isolation, shame and the difficult dynamics that can form within families and relationships. I have significant experience working with adults 1:1 and in groups who have suffered childhood sexual abuse, domestic abuse, intergenerational trauma, racism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, sex trafficking and exploitation, chronic health conditions, disabilities and complex trauma.

Drawing from my training and life experiences, I work to facilitate a co-created environment that honours all that you are, moving toward healing and peace. I aim to help you have a stronger sense of yourself and develop trust in your resilience and autonomy.

My Approach

…rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.
— - bell hooks, All About Love: New Visions.

Rarely do we have opportunities to be witnessed and witness each other. My practice is grounded in relational psychodynamic, body and person-centered psychotherapy. I’m an embodied-relational integrative counsellor who incorporates a trauma-informed approach.

In our work, I invite you to bear witness to yourself, your experiences, your joy and your pain. Breath, creativity, the body and being in communion will be our anchors.

All that you are is welcome here.
